Registered Charity No. 265505
The Wraysbury Village Trust is a registered Charity, originally set up to support the running of Wraysbury Village Hall. The 250 Club is the fund raising vehicle for this charity. So successful was this fund raising that the scope of the Village Trust was expanded to support many other Village organisations. The Trust has been in existence for over 30 years and during this period has raised over £80,000.00, half of which has been donated to help village organisations and projects e.g.the village sign, planting roadside daffodils, maintenance of St Andrews graveyard to mention but a few. The other half has been returned to members via the various cash prizes won each year.
The Trust relies on its local membership. to continue its good work and the membership fee (currently £24.00 per year) helps to support many of the core village organisations, including. the village hall, local school, the annual village fair, local churches, football, bowls and tennis clubs, the Scouts, Brownies etc the local elderly residents, and many other worthy causes.
If you become a member you will be entered into our 3 prize draws per year, giving you a chance to win a number of cash prizes ranging from £50.00 to £1,000.00.
Over the years, The Trust has hosted many fund-raising social events, which have been enthusiastically supported by its members, including summer dinner dances, Valentines discos, barbecues etc, culminating with the annual Christmas Ball which has become one of the villages premier social events.
The Trust is always looking for new members and their inputs.
To become a member, and support this worthy charity you can contact the membership secretary Mrs Nikki Haynes on 01784 482316.
