M25 Lane Closures J13-14 for Emergency Repairs

Two lanes of the M25 have been closed near Heathrow Airport due to “emergency repairs.” Both lanes, three and four, of the motorway have been shut to motorists on Saturday (March 25) due to what was described as an “infrastructure defect.”

While resurfacing works to fix the issue will take place this evening the lanes will be closed throughout the day. While traffic is described as “coping well” by traffic and travel service Inrix, National Highways has warned people to allow extra travel time on their journeys.

“Lanes 4 and 5 are closed on the #M25 clockwise between J13 #Staines and J14 @HeathrowAirport due to an infrastructure defect,” they said. “Resurfacing will take place tonight, but the lanes will remain closed throughout the day. Please allow plenty of extra travel time if in the area today.”
