How to add Wraysbury.com to your smartphone home screen

Sadly we don’t have a Wraysbury.com app, but you can add a shortcut to your home screen, and it will operate exactly like an app. Click on the tile, and you’re there. Great when you want to quickly check the start time of an event, look up a business or whatever, without having to go through your favourites, or type in all those pesky letters.

The method is similar for both Android and Apple devices, but I have created a step-by-step method for both.

Android Phones

  1. Open the Chrome app on your handset and navigate to Wraysbury.com
    .
  2. Once the website loads, open Chrome’s Settings menu by tapping the three vertical dots found in the top-right corner.
  3. Next, select the “Add To Home Screen” option.
  4. A new screen that will allow you to place the icon automatically or choose where to place it. On this “Add To Home Screen” screen, you’ll see a preview of the shortcut’s icon. Tap the “Add Automatically” button to place the new icon on your Android device’s Home Screen wherever space is available.
  5. If you want to place the icon somewhere different on your Home Screen, touch and hold the icon, and drag it to your desired location.

You can now access the wonders of Wraysbury.com at the tap of a button, at any time, anywhere (Assuming you’re online…probably!)

Apple Phones

  1. Open the Safari app on your iPhone and navigate to Wraysbury.com
  2. Once the website loads, click on the share icon
  3. Click on “Add to Home Screen”
  4. You can edit the title, The default is “Wraysbury.com The website for Wraysbury & Horton Villages” but “Wraysbury.com” is probably long enough!
  5. If you want to place the icon somewhere different on your Home Screen, touch and hold the icon, and drag it to your desired location.

    You can now access the wonders of Wraysbury.com at the tap of a button, at any time, anywhere (Assuming you’re online…probably!)
